Plot

To follow the Merantau tradition, Yuda, a Minangkabau from West Sumatra, a master in the art of silat, leaves his home to seek experience and success. He plans to teach silat to the children of Jakarta. He finds that the address where he was meant to stay has been torn down, so he becomes homeless. His wallet is stolen by a child named Adit. Chasing the thief, Yuda then encounters the thief's sister, Astri, quarrelling with her boss, Johnny. When Johnny begins abusing Astri, Yuda intervenes. Yuda saves Astri but instead of gratitude, he is rebuked because she had become jobless as a result. The next day, Yuda sees Astri once again being beaten by Johnny. He intervenes again only to be beaten at first by his thugs. He quickly recovers and saves Astri from Johnny, while saving her he brutally scars Johnny's boss, Ratger. Ratger's associate, Luc tries to calm down Ratger, but to no avail as Ratger decides to stay in the city to hunt down Astri and Yuda.

Yuda takes Astri and her brother, Adit to where he is staying in the city, a construction site. They talk and Yuda explains why he came to the city and talks about his older brother who used to always beat him up. Astri then explains how her parents abandoned her and Adit a few years ago, and how she has been taking care of them ever since. The next day Yuda, Astri, and Adit decide to retrieve their savings from their home in an apartment complex. Yuda leaves Astri and Adit to retrieve the money, but he is caught in the act by several thugs sent to guard the building. Yuda starts fighting the henchmen while trying to reach Astri and Adit.

Meanwhile Astri and Adit are seen by several guards as they are chased throughout the area. Astri helps Adit to hide as she is kidnapped by several henchmen. Yuda manages to defeat the attackers as he finds Adit. He promises Adit that he'll find his sister and tells him to hide as he sets off. Yuda returns to Johnny's club and quickly dispatches Johnny's henchmen. Johnny then gives the location of where to find Ratger, pointing to a nearby apartment building. Yuda makes his way into the apartment building as Ratger takes Astri upstairs to his room, telling a guard wait downstairs in case Yuda appears. Yuda enters the elevator and starts to ride upwards only for the elevator to stop and the guard to enter. Yuda realizes the guard is Eric, the man he met on the bus and Yuda tries to convince him he doesn't have to fight. He ultimately fails in negotiating as they brutally fight in the elevator.

Ratger rapes Astri and takes her downstairs, leaving two guards to wait for the elevator. Meanwhile Yuda defeats Eric, but spares him saying that they are different. The elevator opens as the two guards point their guns towards the opening elevator doors. Eric redeems himself as he pushes Yuda to the side, away from the bullets, meanwhile he is killed by the barrage of bullets. Yuda then defeats the guards and chases after Ratger. He sees Ratger and Astri in a car as they pull out of the parking lot. Yuda hops onto one of the cars as they drive away. The cars end at a shipping dock where they put Astri in a storage container with other women. Ratger and Luc then notice Yuda approaching and send their henchmen to defeat him. Yuda defeats all of them as Ratger and Luc prepare to fight. They three fight in an epic showdown as Yuda holds his own against the two attackers. Luc and Ratger then gain the upper hand when they retrieve a crowbar and a metal pipe from the ground and begin attacking. Yuda eventually slams a container door onto Luc who had the sharp end of the crowbar pointed towards himself.

The impact of the door hitting Luc impales him on his own weapon as he slumps to the ground and dies. Luc's death throws Ratger into a rage as he viciously attacks Yuda, pinning him to a shipment container. Yuda then gains the upper hand and defeats Ratger, sparing him from a killing blow. Yuda then opens the container, freeing the women as they leave. As Yuda and Astri reunite Ratger attacks from behind, stabbing Yuda in the stomach. Yuda quickly finishes off Ratger as he collapses to the ground. After telling Astri his final wishes Astri leaves, returning to her brother's hiding place. Astri and Adit eventually go to the countryside and live with Yuda's family. The story then ends with Yuda's mother standing in the doorway of the home watching Adit go to school, her perspective changes as she sees Adit as her son Yuda.

Plot

Set against a historically authentic backdrop of Indonesia's struggle for independence in 1947, during the Van Mook offensive into the heart of republican territory in Central Java, Merah Putih is a story about young Indonesian cadets who bond together despite their differences in religion, ethnicity, class and culture, to become guerrilla fighters for Indonesia's independence. The film was inspired by the real-life experiences of the brave cadets massacred in Lengkong, and all the men and women who fought for a free and united Indonesia between 1945 and 1948. The movie depicts the diversity of Indonesians through its unique and different characters. There is Amir, a quiet and devout Muslim, (played by prominent actor Lukman Sardi) who gives up his job as a teacher and even leaves his beloved wife to become a cadet, while hot-headed Tomas (Donny Alamsyah) comes all the way from Sulawesi to be a soldier in a bid to get revenge against the Dutch soldiers who slaughtered his family. There is also a cocky and elitist playboy Marius (Darius Sinathrya) and his best friend Soerono, who is a priyayi (Javanese aristocrat), as well as the Hindu street youth Dayan (T. Rifnu Wikana).

The movie starts with the tough lives of the aforementioned characters in a military school, showing friendship and even competition among them. But the lives of the young cadets changes when Dutch soldiers suddenly attack their camp, tearing them apart. With limited weaponry and forces, they decided to unite to fight against the Dutch and defend their freedom. Combining action, drama, humor, romance, human tragedy and strong personal stories, the movie is aimed at inspiring the new generation with the spirit of the generations before them who fought and sacrificed themselves for the freedoms Indonesia enjoys today.

Synopsis
This film is a story about a group of heroic guerrilla cadet in Java in 1947.
Divided by the secrets of their past, and sharp conflicts in terms of personality, social class and religion, the four young men united to launch a desperate attack on the camp of Dutch prisoners, in order to save the women they love.
The cadet is connected to the Sudirman central office where they were given a top-secret assignment behind enemy lines in West Java: a commando-style attack on vital airfields that can reverse the resistance of the rebels against the injustice that has been done General Van Mook in August 1947. Penetrate deeply into the forest, they met with another group of Muslim separatists, also a new ally and potential treason: spy colonial with its own rank and allied civilians off the streets, and the old enemy is responsible for the Dutch intelligence.
Besieged by enemies from both outside and from within, the heroes must band together and trust each other as they fight for the pursuit of one goal: independence.

Plot

After completing a tragic mission in which one of the band’s most beloved members is killed, the band’s loyalty to the cause is put to the ultimate test when their leader, Amir (Lukman Sardi) resigns from the Army in disgust. Leaderless and heartsick over their losses, the cadets carry their vendetta for revenge against the Dutch to the high seas in a dangerous mission to Bali, home island of the maimed mute Dayan (T. Rifnu Wikana), where they are sent to kill the Dutch militia Colonel Raymer (Michael Bell), who murdered the family of the band’s new leader Tomas (Donny Alamsyah) in the opening of RED AND WHITE. Facing the cannons of a Dutch PT boat, the hard-drinking playboy Marius (Darius Sinathrya) must overcome his fears as he rivals Tomas for the affections of the starchy aristocrat’s daughter Senja (Rahayu Saraswati).

Arriving in Bali, the band saves the woman Dayu (new cast member Ranggani Puspandya) from the ravages of Colonel Raymer’s KNIL militia, but one of the heroes is nearly killed. As their friend hovers between life and death, the band finds the underground caves of rebel leader Wayan Suta (played by the singer Nugie). Tomas clashes with their former commander, Amir (Lukman Sardi) as they plan a final assault against Raymer’s militia, raising the question: how far can the revolution go to defeat evil, and still retain its ideals?

Plot

Sherina is a little girl who is smart, energetic, and loves to sing. She lives in Jakarta with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Darmawan (Mathias Muchus and Ucy Nurul). However, Sherina has to leave her friends when her father accepts a job as an agronomist, at a plantation in Lembang owned by Ardiwilaga (Didi Petet). In her new environment, she quickly adapts and acquires some new friends. However, she becomes the target of the class bullies, consisting of a boy named Sadam (Derby Romero) and his two friends. They often bother children who are weaker. Sherina cannot accept such treatment and she gathers her classmates in a struggle against Sadam. When she accompanies her father to visit the plantation, she discovers that Sadam is Ardiwilaga's son.

Sherina and Sadam challenge each other to climb the nearby hills and, upon arriving, Sadam attempts to leave Sherina behind. She tries to find her way back to the plantation and stumble across an adult man. Together they go to a car where another man is waiting. As they gesture for Sherina to get into their car, Sherina hears Sadam's muffled voice from inside its boot telling her to get away. She escapes and, when the four kidnappers leave, she follows them. She discovers that they have been tasked with kidnapping Sadam by a cunning businessman named Kertarajasa (Djaduk Ferianto), who wishes to buy the plantation to complete their development project.

When the kidnappers try to call Ardiwilaga, they reach his wife (Ratna Riantiarno) and tell her to prepare a 3 billion rupiah ransom. She agrees to this condition and convinces her husband to sell the land Natasya (Henidar Amroe), who had offered them 2 billion the day before. Later, at the kidnappers' hideout, Sherina is able to rescue Sadam while the guards are sleeping. They take documentation connecting the thugs to Kertarajasa escape to a nearby observatory, where they spend the night. In Jakarta, Kertarajasa dances with his wife, revealed to be Natasya, and states that he will launch his project the following day once the plantation is legally his.

In the morning Sadam is desperately ill. Sherina tries to leave the observatory through the front door only to discover that it had been locked and the kidnappers were outside. With Sadam's help she rappels down the observatory wall and outruns two of the kidnappers, making her way to a nearby village and catching a ride to Ardiwilaga's home; Sadam, however, is captured. Sherina arrives just as he is preparing to sign the land deed over to Natasya and reveals Kertarajasa's plans. Police quickly arrest Natasya and Kertarajasa, and when the kidnappers try to collect their ransom they too are arrested. When Sherina and Sadam return to school after the holiday they are friends, and Sadam agrees to stop bullying his peers.

Plot

Opening at an apartment block in Jakarta's slums, a 20-man elite police squad arrives undetected; led by rookie Officer Rama, Sergeant Jaka, and Lieutenant Wahyu. The team intends to kill crime lord Tama Riyadi, who owns the block. Subduing various criminal tenants, the team detains a man delivering medicine to his sick wife in apartment 726, only for him to leave. Continuing undetected to the sixth floor, the team is spotted by a young lookout, who raises the alarm before he is shot and killed by Wahyu.

Tama calls in reinforcements, who successfully kill and maim a majority of the police. Cutting the lights, Tama announces over the PA system that the police are trapped on the sixth floor stairwell, and he will grant free permanent residence to those who kill the intruders. In the darkness, the team is soon ambushed by shooters from above and behind, and Jaka then learns from Wahyu that the mission isn't officially sanctioned by the force, meaning nobody knows their location and no backup or reinforcements will arrive. Fleeing into an empty apartment, Bowo is shot and injured, forcing Rama to improvise an explosion that kills the pursuing tenants. With more antagonists approaching, the team is forced to split into two groups covertly; Jaka, Wahyu, and Dagu retreat to the fifth floor, while Rama and Bowo ascend to the seventh.

Fighting to apartment 726, Rama and Bowo plead with the man with the sick wife to help them, to which he reluctantly agrees. Hiding the officers in a secret passage, a gang arrives and inspects the man's apartment; after failing to find Rama and Bowo, however, they eventually leave. After giving medical attention to Bowo, Rama leaves him with the couple to search for Jaka's team, only to be captured by Andi, Tama's right hand man. It is then revealed Rama is Andi's estranged brother, and that Rama signed up for the mission to try and save Andi.

Concurrently, Jaka and his group are found by Mad Dog, Tama's ruthless henchman, only for Wahyu to flee; ordering Dagu to follow Wahyu, Jaka remains to fight Mad Dog bare-handed, only for Mad Dog to subdue and kill him. Andi, telling Rama to wait before leaving, meets up with Mad Dog, who drags Jaka's body to Tama. However, Tama has seen Andi talking to Rama on the numerous hidden cameras in the building. Realizing Andi's betrayal when he didn't return with a corpse, Tama stabs Andi in the hand before turning him over to Mad Dog.

Rama regroups with Wahyu and Dagu, who go on to fight through a narcotics lab, and head for Tama on the 15th floor. Rama, finding Andi being beaten by Mad Dog, separates from Wahyu and Dagu to save him; Mad Dog, allowing him to free Andi, fights Rama and Andi together, only to be overpowered and killed by the duo. Meanwhile, Wahyu and Dagu confront Tama, only for Wahyu to shoot and kill Dagu instead, with Wahyu believing that keeping Tama alive as a hostage will allow him to escape. Firing on Rama and Andi, Wahyu attempts to escape with Tama, only for Tama to gloat that his actions are futile; revealing the corrupt officers that ordered the mission also warned Tama of the attack, Tama boasts that even if Wahyu escapes, he will just be killed later. Enraged, Wahyu then kills Tama, and attempts suicide, but fails as he has no bullets left.

Andi, using his influence over the tenants, allows Rama to leave with Bowo and a detained Wahyu. Andi also hands over numerous blackmail recordings Tama made of corrupt officers taking bribes, hoping that Rama can use them to his benefit. Rama asks Andi to come home, but he refuses, due to his acclimation to his lifestyle. Before Rama leaves, Andi asserts he can protect Rama in his role as a criminal boss, but that Rama cannot do the same for him.

Synopsis

In The Dreamer, it is about life in the days of high school. The three main characters are Ikal, Arai and Jimbron. Ikal is the alter-ego of Andrea Hirata while Arai is a distant relative of an orphan called "Simpai Keramat" as he is the last family member who is still alive and eventually became the foster brother of Ikal. Jimbron is an orphan who is obsessed with horses and stutter when he's enthusiastic about something or when he is nervous.

All three are intertwined in the story of friendship from childhood until they go to school in SMA Negeri Manggar (SMA means 'Sekolah Menengah Atas', equal to high school in English. The school’s name basically means The State High School of Manggar.), the first high school in the eastern Belitung. Attended school in the mornings and worked as a worker in the early morning fishing port, from their addiction of erotic movies in theaters and finally discovered by their religious teacher, the love story of Jimbron and Arai, Jimbron's farewell with Ikal and Arai who will study in Jakarta that makes them to separate but will still meet each other in France. Independently living separately from their parents with the background of poor economic conditions but with a big goal that if viewed from the background of their lives, is simply a dream.

Synopsis
The movie, set in the 1970s, opens on the first day of the year at a Muhammadiyah elementary school on Belitung. The school needs 10 students but is one short until near the end of the day, when a straggler fills out the ranks for their teachers, Muslimah and Harfan. Muslimah dubs the children "The Rainbow Troops" (sometimes translated as "The Rainbow Warriors") and the movie traces their development and relationships with the teachers.

Plot

Dr. Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis), a child psychologist in Philadelphia, returns home one night with his wife, Anna Crowe (Olivia Williams), after having been honored for his work. Anna tells Malcolm that everything is second to his work. The two then discover that they are not alone; a young man appears brandishing a gun. He says that he does not want to be afraid anymore and accuses Malcolm of failing him. Malcolm recognizes him as Vincent Grey (Donnie Wahlberg), a former patient whom he treated as a child for hallucinations. Vincent shoots Malcolm in the abdomen, before turning the gun on himself.

The next autumn, Malcolm begins working with another patient, eight year old Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment), whose case is similar to Vincent's. Malcolm becomes dedicated to the boy, though he is haunted by doubts over his ability to help him after his failure with Vincent. Meanwhile, his wife hardly pays any attention to him, and Malcolm believes that Anna may be contemplating a romance with a coworker who keeps coming around the house, although this elicits sadness, rather than anger. At the same time, he repeatedly has difficulty opening the door to his basement office.

Once Malcolm earns his trust, Cole eventually confides in him, "I see dead people.... Walking around like regular people.... They don't know they're dead." One that tries to hurt Cole is only heard as a voice who pleads with Cole to let him out of a dark cupboard, then yells that he didn't steal "the Master's horse" and threatens to attack Cole. Another ghost who appears to Cole is an overworked wife, abused by her husband, who has slit her wrists. A third ghost is a boy with a large gunshot exit wound on the back of his head who invites Cole to see his father's gun.

At first, Malcolm thinks Cole is delusional and plans to drop him. Remembering Vincent, the psychologist listens to an audiotape that Malcolm has saved from a psychotherapy session between himself and Vincent (then a young boy) in 1987. On the tape, Malcolm left the room and when he returned Vincent was crying. Turning up the volume all the way, Malcolm hears a weeping man and now believes that Cole is telling the truth and that Vincent may have had the same ability to perceive ghosts. He suggests to Cole that he should try to find a purpose for his gift by communicating with the ghosts and perhaps aid them with their unfinished business on Earth. At first, Cole is unwilling since the ghosts terrify him, but he finally decides to try it.

He talks to one of the ghosts, a very ill girl who appears in his bedroom and promptly vomits in his tent. He finds where the girl, Kyra Collins (Mischa Barton), lived and goes to her house during her funeral reception with Malcolm. Kyra died after a prolonged illness and funeral guests note that Kyra's younger sister is starting to get sick, too. Kyra's ghost appears and gives Cole a box, which is opened to reveal a videotape. When Cole gives it to Kyra's father, the videotape shows Kyra's stepmother putting floor cleaner fluid in Kyra's food^[2] while she cared for Kyra during her illness.

Learning to live with the ghosts, Cole starts to fit in at school and gets the lead in the school play, which Malcolm attends. The doctor and patient depart on positive terms and Cole suggests to Malcolm that he should try speaking to Anna while she is asleep. On the way home, Cole confesses his secret to his mother, Lynn (Toni Collette). Although his mother at first does not believe him, Cole soon tells Lynn that her own mother once went to see her perform in a dance recital one night when she was a child, and that Lynn was not aware of this because her mother stayed in the back of the audience where she could not be seen. He also tells her that the answer to a question she asked when alone at her mother's grave, "Do I make you proud?", was "Every day". Lynn tearfully accepts this as the truth.

Malcolm returns to his home, where he finds his wife asleep on the couch with the couple's wedding video playing, not for the first time. As she sleeps, Anna asks her husband why he left her. Then her hand drops Malcolm's wedding ring, which he suddenly discovers he has not been wearing. Malcolm remembers what Cole said about ghosts and the psychologist realizes that he was actually killed by Vincent and was unknowingly dead the entire time he was working with Cole. Due to Cole's efforts, Malcolm's unfinished business—rectifying his failure to understand and help Vincent—is finally complete. Recalling Cole's advice, Malcolm speaks to his sleeping wife and fulfills the second reason he returned, saying she was "never second", and that he loves her. Letting her live her own life, he is free to leave the world of the living.

Plot

Duke (Channing Tatum) becomes the leader of the G.I. Joe unit, which is framed for stealing nuclear warheads from Pakistan by Zartan (Arnold Vosloo), who is impersonating the President of the United States (Jonathan Pryce). The majority of the unit is subsequently eliminated in a military air strike, including Duke. Roadblock (Dwayne Johnson), Flint (D.J. Cotrona) and Lady Jaye (Adrianne Palicki) are the only survivors. Zartan then announces on television that the G.I. Joes have been eliminated, after having gone rogue and killing the Pakistani president.

Meanwhile, Storm Shadow (Byung-hun Lee) and ex-Joe Firefly (Ray Stevenson) rescue Cobra Commander (Luke Bracey) from an underground maximum-security prison in Germany. Cobra Commander decides to leave Destro imprisoned. Storm Shadow is injured during the escape, and retreats to a temple in the Himalayas to recover. Upon learning that he is alive, the Blind Master (RZA), leader of the Arashikage Clan, sends Snake Eyes (Ray Park) and his apprentice Jinx (Elodie Yung), Storm Shadow's cousin, to capture Storm Shadow so he can answer for the murder of his uncle, the Hard Master.

Roadblock, Flint, and Lady Jaye return to the United States where they set up a base of operations in a rundown gym. After Zartan announces that Cobra will replace the Joes as America's main protective unit, Lady Jaye deduces that someone is impersonating the President, and Roadblock leads them to General Joseph Colton (Bruce Willis), who provides them with weapons, and helps them infiltrate a fundraising event that the President will be attending. Lady Jaye steals a sample of the President's DNA and confirms that he is Zartan. They escape after a brief confrontation with Firefly and Zandar (Matt Gerald), the head of the Presidential Detail and a member of Cobra.

Snake Eyes and Jinx locate and capture Storm Shadow after a battle with ninjas and take him back to Japan, where Storm Shadow reveals that Zartan murdered the Hard Master, and that he joined Cobra to avenge his uncle. Storm Shadow then accompanies Snake Eyes and Jinx as they join the Joes' efforts to stop Cobra.

Zartan invites the world leaders to a summit, where he blackmails them into disabling their nuclear arsenals, and reveals that he has created Project Zeus: seven orbital kinetic bombardment weapons of mass destruction at his command. He destroys central London to prove his superiority, and threatens to destroy other capitals if the countries don't submit to Cobra. However, Storm Shadow betrays Cobra Commander and kills Zartan, revealing Cobra's deception to the world leaders. While Snake Eyes, Jinx, and Flint fight Cobra's soldiers, Cobra Commander activates the remaining six weapons and instructs Firefly to protect the launch device. Firefly is killed in combat by Roadblock, who deactivates and destroys the orbital weapons. Meanwhile, Colton and Lady Jaye rescue the President.

Cobra Commander escapes during the battle and Storm Shadow disappears after avenging his uncle. The real President addresses the nation at a ceremony where Roadblock, Lady Jaye, Flint, Jinx, and Snake Eyes are commemorated as heroes. Colton salutes each of them, and presents Roadblock with a M1911 pistol that belonged to General George S. Patton, to use when he finally finds Cobra Commander. Roadblock proudly raises the weapon and lets out a single shot in honor of his fallen comrades.

Plot

In the near future, weapons master James McCullen (Christopher Eccleston) has created a nanotech-based weapon capable of destroying a city. His company M.A.R.S. (Military Armaments Research Syndicate) sells four warheads to NATO, and NATO troops led by American soldiers Duke (Channing Tatum) and Ripcord (Marlon Wayans) are tasked with delivering the warheads. Their convoy is ambushed by the Baroness (Sienna Miller), whom Duke recognizes to be his ex-fiancee Ana Lewis. Duke and Ripcord are rescued by Scarlett (Rachel Nichols), Snake Eyes (Ray Park), Breaker (Saïd Taghmaoui) and Heavy Duty (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje). They take the warheads to The Pit, G.I. Joe's command center in Egypt, and upon arriving rendezvous with the head of the G.I. Joe Team, General Hawk (Dennis Quaid). Hawk takes command of the warheads and excuses Duke and Ripcord, only to be convinced to let them join his group, after Duke reveals that he knows the Baroness.

McCullen is revealed to be using the same nanotechnology to build an army of soldiers with the aid of the Doctor (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), planning on using the warheads to cause panic and bring about a new world order. Using a tracking device, McCullen locates the G.I. Joe base and sends Storm Shadow (Byung-Hun Lee) and the Baroness to retrieve the warheads, with assistance from Zartan (Arnold Vosloo).

After a fight, Storm Shadow and the Baroness retrieve the warheads and take them to Baron DeCobray, the Baroness's husband, for him to weaponize. Making their way to Paris, the Joes pursue the Baroness and Storm Shadow, but are unsuccessful in stopping them from launching one of the missiles. The missile hits the Eiffel Tower and releases the nanomites in it, destroying the tower and some of the surrounding area before Duke manages to hit the kill switch, but in doing so he is captured and taken to McCullen's base under the Arctic.

The Joes locate the secret base and fly there, as McCullen loads three missiles with nano-warheads, which are aimed for Beijing, Moscow, and Washington, D.C., the world's three most important cities. He intends to do this to strike fear into the hearts of every man, woman, and child on the planet, after which they will turn to the person with the most power in the world, the President of the United States. After Snake Eyes takes out one missile, Ripcord destroys the remaining two using a stolen M.A.R.S. prototype Night Raven jet, while Scarlett, Breaker, and Snake Eyes infiltrate the base. Snake Eyes duels and prevails over Storm Shadow. Duke learns that the Doctor is Rex Lewis, Ana's brother believed to have been killed by a mistimed airstrike during a mission led by Duke (also the origin of the alienation between Duke and Ana). Rex had encountered Doctor Mindbender (Kevin J. O'Connor) in the bunker and was seduced by the nanomite technology, taking too long to retrieve the data and getting caught in the bombing, which disfigured him. After freeing Duke, the Baroness is subdued, as the Doctor reveals he has implanted her with nanomites, which has put her under his control for the past four years. Attempting to kill Duke, McCullen ends up being burned, so he and the Doctor flee to an escape vessel. Duke and the Baroness pursue him while the Joes fall back, when the Doctor activates the base's self-destruct sequence; which involves 'blowing the ice cap' to create blocks of ice which then nearly crush the Joes.

The Doctor assumes the identity of the Commander, having healed McCullen's burned face with nanomites, encasing it in silver and naming him "Destro", which places McCullen under the Commander's control. They are captured by G.I. Joe soon after. On the supercarrier USS Flagg, the Baroness is placed in protective custody until they can remove the nanomites from her body. Meanwhile, Zartan, having had his physical appearance altered by nanomites, infiltrates the White House during the missile crisis and assumes the identity of the President of the United States of America (Jonathan Pryce), thus completing a part of McCullen's plan to rule the world.

Plot

Plot

In 1981 San Francisco, Chris Gardner (Will Smith) invests his entire life savings in portable bone-density scanners which he demonstrates to doctors and pitches as a handy quantum leap over standard X-rays. While he is able to sell most of them, the time lag between the sales and his growing financial demands enrage his already bitter and alienated wife Linda (Thandie Newton), who eventually leaves him and moves to New York. After Linda bluntly says she is incapable of being a single mother, she agrees that their son Christopher (Jaden Smith) will remain with his father. While downtown trying to sell one of the scanners, Chris meets Jay Twistle (Brian Howe), a manager for Dean Witter and impresses him by solving a Rubik's Cube during a short cab ride. Chris does not have enough money for the cab fare and flees into a subway station where he barely escapes the angry cab driver but loses one of his bone scanners in the process. This new relationship with Twistle earns him the chance to become an internstockbroker, employee.

Despite arriving at his new office unkempt and shabbily dressed due to being arrested the previous day for unpaid parking tickets (and having had to paint his apartment, as his landlord grudgingly says he will give Chris and his son a little more time living there if they get the place ready for an incoming tenant before they depart), Chris is offered the internship. Chris is further set back when his bank account is garnished by the IRS for unpaid income taxes, and he and his young son are evicted. Chris becomes broke and has less than thirty dollars in his bank account. As a result they are homeless, and are forced at one point to stay in a restroom at a subway station.

Motivation drives him to find the Glide Memorial United Methodist Church, which has a homeless shelter for single mothers and their children. The church's owner will not allow him to stay there and Chris will not agree to leave Christopher there alone, although she tells him about a local church that also provides shelter, but has very limited space. Due to demand for the limited rooms, Chris must frantically race from his internship work early each afternoon in order to land a place in line. Chris finds the bone scanner that he lost in the subway station from a demented man who had been carrying it around, believing it to be a time machine, and the scanner is now damaged, but Chris finally repairs it and is able to sell it.

Disadvantaged by his limited work hours, and knowing that maximizing his client contacts and profits is the only way to earn the one paid position that he and his 19 competitors are fighting for, Chris develops a number of ways to make phone sales calls more efficiently. He also reaches out to potential high value customers, defying protocol. One sympathetic prospect who is a top-level pension fund manager even takes him and his son to a San Francisco 49ers game. Regardless of his challenges, Chris never reveals his lowly circumstances to his co-workers, even going so far as to lend one of his bosses five dollars for a cab, a sum he can't afford.

Concluding his internship, Chris is called into a meeting with his managers. One of them notes he isn't wearing a new suit—and then smiles and says he should wear one tomorrow, letting him know he has won the coveted full-time position. Fighting back tears, he rushes to his son's daycare, hugging him. They walk down the street, joking with each other and are passed by a man in a business suit (the real Chris Gardner in a cameo appearance). The epilogue reveals that Chris went on to become a successful man and to form his own multi-million dollar brokerage firm.
